Web and Other Stuff

What a year 2011 turned out to be! From the City of Boston, who wished me Happy Birthday in April by hosting the World Premiere of THERE BE MONSTERS! to the My Hero International Film Festival Awards Ceremony in December, to the publication of FISSION and all the great reviews and compliments which it has received, I cannot think of a more memorable or fun year.
So at this time of year, with the holidays upon us, I wanted to thank you for being a part of it and supporting me and my work.
I hope you have a safe and happy holiday. I, of course, will celebrate the FIRST NIGHT by raising a glass to salute you.
Thanks and Regards,
Tom
Now that I’ve been back in Boston a few days and somewhat caught my breath, I just wanted to say a few words of thanks to the My Hero Project, not only for honoring THERE BE MONSTERS! but also for the great work that the Project does.
I encourage everyone to go to their site and be inspired by the stories there, including the 2011 Festival Winners (You may even find one by yours truly).
Thank You, My Hero.

When people ask, I like to say I’m a storyteller, but here in Ireland I am merely a visitor in a nation of storytellers; and here in Dublin I was lucky enough to spend the evening in the presence of Master Storyteller, Johnny Daly – and Johnny was at the top of his game. It was an enthralling evening of Fairy Tales, Folk Law and Traditional Music.
The perfect hosts for the evening were the Brazen Head, Dublin’s oldest pub, who kept me fully supplied with Guinness and piping hot Irish Stew.
Thank you, Johnny and the Brazen Head for a great evening.

I hope that everyone had a good holiday? I certainly did, culminating in another New Year’s Eve celebration with 1 million of my closest friends in downtown Boston. Unseasonably warm this time, but we managed to take in the ice-sculptures before they all melted.
Anyway, with the old year now out of the way, it’s back to business.
We have the book, fission, to finish (click on the link to read the serialized version online). There be Monsters! is heading for the film festivals and, after much too long of a delay, the next Alex and Jackie Adventure, Feathered: being a Fairy Tale, is on the starting block.
But first order of business, a couple of days later than usual, we’ll be having the facebook fan prize drawing . . . coming up in just a tick.
Regards,
Tom
